Ice or Heat for Injuries?

When you have a fresh injury, use ICE — not heat. Heat increases inflammation and swelling.

Use ice for the first 48 hours. After that, alternate heat (20 min) then ice (10 min), always ending with ice.

As your chiropractor in Lake Oswego, Dr. Devine provides injury care guidance alongside chiropractic adjustments.
